The Olympic flame will pass through Parthenay and other nearby locations. Various festivities and activities will also take place.

Shopping & Beaches

Local shops including a supermarket and pharmacy are a short drive away at Secondigny or the local bakers 5 minutes away in Clesse. The larger town of Parthenay is a 20 minute drive and offers hypermarkets and larger shopping facilities.The historic town of Niort with its retail outlets and many shops is only 50 minutes away.

If you fancy a day at the beach then the port town of La Rochelle and its surrounding magnificent beaches is the place to go. La Rochelle is also ideal for shopping with its quaint harbour, boat trips, aquarium and other visitor attractions.

Restaurants

If you do not fancy cooking there are a variety of restaurants in the area. One not to miss is the all-inclusive Panda Wok in Parthenay (includes alcohol and soft drinks). Parthenay also has an old historic town which includes many popular restaurants.
